Chris Stefancik

Chris Stefancik attended Stetson University, Florida, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in
chemistry. After graduating, he taught middle grades science at Deland Middle School until 2011 when he was selected for a teacher on assignment position working in Volusia County School’s Science department. While there he provided teacher support on the delivery of quality science instruction, analyzed student performance data to help schools improve their instructional focus, and coordinated the development and analysis of district-wide interim assessments for middle grades science and biology. During the summer of 2014, he was appointed as an analyst in Volusia’s Program Accountability and Assessment department where he develops business intelligence dashboards using district and school data, works with assessment platform representatives to help them meet the needs of Volusia Schools, and coordinates with curriculum specialists on test development, item analytics, and their correlations to other metrics. Chris lives with his wife and son in Port Orange, Florida, and is
working towards his doctorate in program evaluation and educational policy at Florida State University.
